We dedicate both time and resources to make safety of our students a priority at UCR. To do so, we work closely in conjunction with UC Police Department (UCPD) and Emergency Medical Services to provide excellent emergency response and community outreach.

Our buildings and parking lots are outfitted with video surveillance and restricted card access. Residential areas are not accessible to individuals who do not live in our communities. In addition, we employ a group of students, supervised by the UCPD, called Community Service Officers, who patrol the exteriors of our buildings to provide additional security while hall staff, like our Resident Advisors and Resident Directors, monitor the inside of our facilities.
