The stylish International Village brings together traditional University students, as well as international students from the University Extension and Education Abroad programs. International Village is located adjacent to some of UCR's historic citrus groves and within a short walk of the University Extension, the shopping, dining, and movie-going experiences of University Village, and of course, the UCR campus. Opened in Summer 2001, the International Village Student Housing offers quality housing units for campus students, Extension's international students, visiting faculty and University guests. The complex is conveniently located on campus at 1100 Everton Place, across from the UCR Extension Center and within walking distance of University Village.
The complex offers a comfortable and relaxing environment, uniquely surrounded by beautiful orange groves. It also features amenities such as card key system, grass multisport fields, study lounge, laundry facility, fitness room, 24-hour on site RA and management staff, parking, multipurpose room with big screen TV, outdoor BBQ and video arcade.
Among its 92 units are 21 studios and 71 apartment/suite-type units with either two, three, or five bedrooms each. Rental prices include quality furnishings, all utilities including automated central heating and A/C, premium DirecTV service, high-speed Ethernet access, and telephone with basic service.
UCR students living in the International Village will have the opportunity to earn up to 6 units of academic credit by enrolling in Ling. 192 (prerequisite Ling. 020) and participating in tutorial activities with international students.
