About Residence Halls
Instead of simply being a place to sleep, our four Residence Halls – Aberdeen-Inverness, Lothian, Pentland Hills, and Dundee – are filled with programs, activities, and amenities designed to help you adjust to college and steer you towards your personal path to success.
Each community features 24/7 computer labs, high-speed internet, on-site convenience stores, and academic support. For your safety, buildings are access-controlled.
But mostly, it’s the human factor – our professional staff and trained Resident Advisors – that transforms our Residence Halls into your home away from home.

Dining Plans
Eat happy, be healthy and leave the dishes to us! Dining Plans, included in the Residence Hall annual cost, give you access to our two Residential Restaurants, and Dining Dollars, which can be used at any dining venue on campus. Pick the Dining Plan right for you.
Living-Learning Communities

Choosing Your Roommate(s)
If you met someone during Highlander Orientation or know someone who will be attending UCR, you can specify a roommate on your Housing contract. Otherwise, roommate assignments are made using the Housing Contract’s personal preferences section.
