RCCD Move-In

Before Move-In Day

North District 2 Community Map

Be sure to submit your photo to have your UCR ID Card (R'Card) ready on Move-In Day. Once you have your R'Card you can select a UCR Dining Plan to eat on campus. The R'Card is required for access to North District 2, to utilize a UCR Dining Plan, and to gain access to eligible UCR campus events. If you choose to bring a car and park on campus, a valid UCR parking permit is required and due to limited parking availability, parking permits for RCCD students residing at North District 2 will be issued through a lottery system.

  • Confirm Your Housing Assignment
    1. Log into your MyHousing Portal.
    2. Click on RCCD-UCR Housing Application Part 2 tab.
    3. Your information will be posted in the green shaded box.

Please remember that your housing assignment is subject to change until Check-In Day. Your MyHousing Portal will reflect any changes.

  • Confirm Your Move-In Date and Time

    Saturday, August 23, 2025
    8:30 am - 11:30 am

    • Your Check-In Pass is your ticket to check-in and will be posted on your MyHousing portal on Monday, August 11, 2025.
    • Your assigned check-in time and QR code are contained on your Check-In Pass.
    • You are required to move in on your assigned date during the published timeframe.  Please arrive on time, but not more than 15 minutes earlier than your assigned check-in time.
    • If you need consideration for a late Check-In Day, contact Housing at (951) 827-6350 or via email. Your room reservation cannot be held unless we hear from you prior to your assigned Move-In Day.
  • Check-In at UCR Lot 18

You are staying in a brand-new community, Parking Lot 18 isn't even on the map yet!

Type UCR Parking Lot 27 into your GPS map app. You will want to turn right into the parking lot one entrance before Parking Lot 27 to reach Parking Lot 18.

    Or follow these driving directions:

From the 60/215 Freeway east or west:

    1. Exit Blaine St. & proceed east.
    2. Turn right into UCR Lot 18.
    3. Follow signs to the check-in parking location.

Please do not bring moving vans, RV’s, or trailers to Move-In Day. These vehicles use too much space in our parking lots and are difficult to navigate on narrow, busy campus streets.

    • You will park your vehicle anywhere in Lot 18 and walk to the nearby check-in tables.
    • You will need your UCR R'Card and your Check-In Pass, which must be printed or accessible on a mobile device.
    • If you submitted your photo online before August 19 as requested, your R'Card will be handed out to you at the check-in tables.
    • If you have not taken steps to obtain your UCR R'Card prior to Move-In Day, you will need to visit the Highlander Service Station on Move-In Day (8:00 am - 2:00 pm). You cannot check-in without a UCR R'Card.
    • Check out a blue moving cart and unload. You are limited to one moving cart. You may also bring your own wagon, dolly, or moving cart.
    • Your Move-In Inspection will appear on your MyHousing Portal after you receive your keys. Check your email when you arrive to your room and follow the instructions to complete your Move-In Inspection. Failure to complete your Move-In Inspection on Move-In Day will imply that your assigned space is acceptable "as-is."
  • A Note About Health
    • Many viruses such as Measles, RSV, COVID, H1N1, and influenza are on the rise at this time of year. Viruses such as these can spread particularly quickly in a congregate living environment such as the Residence Halls and Campus Apartments.
    • If you have cold or flu symptoms (or test positive for COVID) as Move-In Day approaches, make the hard choice to stay home.
    • Do not worry. Your campus housing space will be waiting for you when you are feeling better (or test negative for COVID).
    • We appreciate your helping to keep our campus community safe and setting the right example for others.
    • When you do arrive, you will notice that opportunities to sanitize your hands are always in eyesight.
    • For you. For others. Keep a good check on your health during your stay.
