To complement your academic learning, there are a number of housing options that Graduate students can choose from. Graduate students can live in our Residence Hall communities as well as our On-Campus Apartments, which provide quality living environments close to the campus in order to take advantage of all the academic opportunities UCR has to offer.
Continuing the UCR Housing tradition of community, convenience, support, and safety, our unique on-campus apartment communities offer Transfer Students a variety of living environments at the campus’ doorstep.

Serving more than 3,000 students, your three Residence Halls combine comfortable living with a sense of community that will make your housing experience a memorable one.
The Residence Halls are an all-inclusive package designed to save students valuable time that will not be sacrificed for shopping, cooking, cleaning, or transportation, as well as provide facilities that limit or eliminate a student's need to venture off campus for recreation, entertainment, necessities, or a conducive study environment.
The Residence Halls primarily house first year students. If, as a Graduate student, you wish to reside in one of UCR's Residence Halls, the Assignments team will make every effort to place you with another Graduate student.
Building Choices & Room Types
Other than the physical appearances of the buildings and rooms, there are no programmatic differences. All residents receive the same benefits and services. The real difference is in the people on a hall. To receive the best program possible, residents need to participate in their living environment.
