There are a number of food resource options available to UCR Students offering free or low-cost healthy and fresh choices both on and off campus.

R'Pantry
R'Pantry provides emergency non-perishable food, personal hygiene, household care, and childcare items to both undergraduate and graduate students experiencing food insecurity. They also connect Highlanders to on and off-campus food resources and provide programs and workshops that improve health and wellness.
When to Seek Help from R’Pantry?
If you are in immediate and urgent need of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or basic care items to help care for yourself and/or your child.

Grocery Support
Short-Term Grocery Support is intended for UCR undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing food insecurity and need additional financial support to purchase groceries.
When to Seek Short-Term Grocery Support?
If you are having difficulty affording food, having to reduce portions, or skipping meals to make food last.
How to Seek Short-Term Grocery Support
Grocery Support appointments are open weekly and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students may sign up once a month for Grocery Support. All grocery support requests will be for pick up from our on-campus lockboxes, we will not have in-person pick up.

CalFresh
CalFresh provides qualifying students with up to $250 a month to buy healthy, nutritious foods. It’s a federally-mandated, state-supervised, and county-operated government entitlement program that provides monthly food benefits to qualified Highlanders. These benefits can be used at various local grocery and convenience stores, most farmers markets, Scotty's convenience stores located on campus.
When to Seek Funds from CalFresh?
If you are part of a low-income household and need help purchasing the food you need to maintain adequate nutritional levels.
How to Seek Funds from CalFresh
Complete the CalFresh Prescreening Form. Once you have filled it out, you will receive an email to schedule an appointment with a CalFresh Intern.

Community Food Resources
Arlington Temporary Resources - (951) 689-5620
Students, families and the homeless can access emergency assistance from the organization, including free food boxes (limit of six times per year), clothing, and referrals to social services. Free produce is offered to the first 10 visitors (first-come, first-served basis). To qualify, you must bring a picture ID, proof of income, and proof of address.

Free produce while supplies last. No qualifying required.
Family and Kids Foundation - (951) 733-3498
Drive-up service offered.

A box of supplemental food once a month for families and individuals who live in the 92505 zip code.
Lutheran Social Services - (951) 689-7847
Includes a food pantry, hygiene kits, housing referrals, rental assistance vouchers, eviction prevention, and utility assistance. All programs/services are not available at every LSS location. Please call ahead to verify available services.
Mt. Rubidoux Seventh-Day Adventist - (951) 276-8374
A drive-up pantry on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Food Pantry Ministry - (951) 689-8921
Located in the parking lot of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church is the community Food Pantry. It is open to all those in need, providing a shopping bag of donated food staples (not prepared food).
St. George’s Episcopal Church - (951) 686-9936
Students can enjoy a hot meal at the church every Thursday evening.
Set Free Church Thrift Store - (951) 680-9868
Free food boxes available. You must call ahead to request a box. No ID or eligibility requirements.
