There are a number of housing resource options available to UCR Students if you are struggling to find a safe, stable place to sleep (e.g., living in your car, temporarily staying with friends or family, or living on the street).
The Short-Term Emergency Housing Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with temporary housing if they are experiencing housing displacement or homelessness. The goal is to ensure students' safety and provide them with adequate time to acquire permanent and secure housing. Placement is subject to space availability and individual student circumstances.
When to Seek Emergency Housing?
If you are experiencing homelessness (e.g., living in your car, temporarily staying with friends or family, or living on the street or in a shelter).
