Campus Apartments: Move-In Day

2026 Move-In Date: Friday, September 18

first

Prepare to Leave

  • Bring your Check-In Pass (printed or on your phone).
  • Each resident may park one vehicle in their community's unloading lot.
  • Come prepared for the heat. Move-In Day takes place outdoors in late summer, with routes from the unloading lot to residential communities requiring extended walking. Please plan accordingly when deciding how many supporters to bring, as ADA accommodations will not be available along these routes.
  • Please leave pets at home; they will not be allowed into buildings due to health and safety concerns.

Proceed to Lot 30 for Check-In

  • All Campus Apartment residents must first check in at UCR Lot 30 (900 Martin Luther King Blvd.) Check-in is not possible at your assigned community.
    • Your check-in is a drive-through process, so there is no need to park and leave the comforts of your air conditioning! Please follow the signs to get in line.
  • Show your Check-In Pass to receive your keys.

Beep beep! Please do not bring moving vans, RVs or trailers to Move-In Day. These vehicles use too much space in our parking lots and are difficult to navigate on narrow, busy campus streets.

THEN

Unload Your Items & Perform a Room Inspection

  • You are welcome to check out a blue cart to help transport your items. Make sure you bring an ID or credit/debit card to check out a cart. Once you return your blue cart, your card will be returned to you. Blue Cart Safety Tips & Guidelines:
    • Do not carry blue carts up or down stairs
    • Blue carts must remain in the community they are checked out from
  • Follow the signs to find your room or refer to the following maps.
    • Falkirk
    • Glen Mor
    • North District 2
    • The Plaza
    • Stonehaven
      • Note: During Move-In, elevators may experience longer wait times as many residents and families are moving in at the same time. Please consider using the stairs when possible to avoid long elevator wait times.

Take a look around: Complete your move-in inspection via your MyHousing Portal — instructions will be in your UCR email when you arrive. Failure to complete it on Move-In Day means your space is accepted as-is.
