    Lothian

The wings at Lothian Residence Hall were once known as East Lothian and West Lothian, built at different times and with slightly different room layouts. But in Scotland, there are actually three Lothians: East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.

Together, the Lothians, as they’re known locally, are home to Edinburgh, the country’s capital, and the stunning Rosslyn Chapel, featured prominently in the book and film version of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. Among the legends surrounding this 550-year-old gothic masterpiece: its sealed crypt holds either the Holy Grail or The Ark of the Covenant…or maybe both.
