BEFORE MOVING IN
Get Your Documents Ready
- Submit your photo to the UCR Carding Office to receive your R'Card, which you will need to pick up your keys and access the parking lot.
- Log in to your MyHousing Portal, and review the details on purchasing renters' insurance.
- Visit the Transportation Services website to purchase a parking permit.
- Note: Each vehicle will require a valid Oban Family Housing parking permit. To enter the parking lot, you must scan your R'Card to open the automatic gate.
Start Prepping
- Review the packing checklist and prohibited items list.
- Review the Resident Conduct Policies document to understand what's expected of you.
On MOVE-IN DAY
Drive to Your Community
- Please leave pets at home; they will not be allowed into buildings due to health and safety concerns.
- Proceed to the Falkirk Campus Apartments. Park in the short-term parking spaces, and go to the Campus Apartments & Family Housing Resident Services Office (located in the center of the apartments, near the pool). Show your R'Card to receive your keys.
- Note: Please arrive at the RSO during business hours.
- Proceed to Oban. If you do not already have a parking permit, park in the visitor parking spaces. If you have an Oban parking permit, scan your R'Card to open the automatic gate and park in the lot.
Unload Your Items & Perform a Room Inspection
- Complete your move-in inspection via your MyHousing Portal
- Instructions will be in your UCR email when you pick up your keys.
- Failure to complete it on the day you move in means your space is accepted as-is.
