- Submit your photo to the UCR Carding Office to receive a UCR ID Card (R'Card). You will need a R'Card to pick up your keys, use a dining plan and attend UCR events.
- For photos submitted before August 12: You will pick up your R'Card on Move-In Day.
- For photos submitted after August 12: You will have to wait in line at the Highlander Service Station on Move-In Day to take a photo and have your R'Card printed before you can receive your keys.
Explore Optional Add-Ons
- Explore RCCD-exclusive Dining Plan options.
- Log in to your MyHousing Portal, and review the details on purchasing renters' insurance.
- Buy a Parking Permit if you intend to bring a vehicle. (Parking a car on campus requires a valid UCR parking permit.)
- There are many alternatives to driving. See the Transportation page to learn more about available cheap or free options.
Heads up: Your housing assignment is subject to change until Move-In Day. Your MyHousing Portal will always reflect the most current information.

- RCCD Move-In is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM. You can check in at any time during those hours.
Pack Your Items
- Review the packing checklist and prohibited items list. Some things to keep in mind:
- Each resident can check out one rolling cart on Move-In Day to transport their items, but you may also bring your own wagon, dolly or moving cart.
- No moving vans, RVs or trailers are permitted on Move-In Day.
- Remember: Space is limited in on-campus housing! Many families end up taking items home.
