About Residence Halls

Instead of simply being a place to sleep, our three Residence Halls – Aberdeen-InvernessLothian and Pentland Hills – are filled with programs, activities, and amenities designed to help you adjust to college and steer you towards your personal path to success.

Each community features 24/7 computer labs, high-speed internet, on-site convenience stores, and academic support. For your safety, buildings are access-controlled.

But mostly, it’s the human factor – our professional staff and trained Resident Advisors – that transforms our Residence Halls into your home away from home.

Choose your Roommate

If you met someone during Highlander Orientation or know someone who will be attending UCR, you can specify a roommate on your Housing contract. Otherwise, roommate assignments are made using the Housing Contract’s personal preferences section.
